Accounting Mentorship Programs

The Accounting Mentorship Programs, Graduate Accounting and Public Accounting, provide an opportunity for our graduate students to gain knowledge and insight from accounting professionals. Our mentors provide a valuable connection to the business world and enhance our student’s future careers by sharing their wisdom and experience. 

Our program consists of formal meetings including an introductory meeting early in autumn quarter and a wrap-up meeting at the end spring quarter. Each mentor is assigned one or two students. Over the course of the year the mentor and students meet several times per year at mutually convenient times. 

Our accounting mentors, many of whom are UW-Tacoma graduates, work in a variety of accounting positions from across the country. We are fortunate to have representatives from industry, government, as well as the Big 4, regional, and local accounting firms. The variety of mentor experience provides for rich mentorship relationships. We are fortunate to have such dedicated mentors who are willing to share their time and talents in support of our students.
