Eligibility for Aid
A student's eligibility for most (not all) types of financial aid is based on:
- The Student Aid Index (SAI) per the FAFSA/WASFA income and asset information for the application year, and,
- Financial Need, calculated as the difference between what it costs to attend school and the student's resources. The student's resources includes the SAI and any internal and/or outside scholarships, waivers, benefits, etc. contributing to the student's education.
There is no simple method of determining financial need, such as an "income cutoff" or other variables of determination.
