COMMENCEMENT
The University of Washington Tacoma will take over the Tacoma Dome on Friday, June 7, 2024, to celebrate and honor the graduating class of 2024. All graduates will have the opportunity to walk across the stage and be showered with cheers and applause from proud family members, friends, and guests.
Getting to the Tacoma Dome
The Tacoma Dome is located at 2727 East D Street. The use of Exit 133 from I-5 is not advised. This exit is generally closed for high-volume events and traffic will be re-routed. For real-time traffic, the Dome's staff recommend Waze.
Bags and balloons
Please note that the Tacoma Dome only allows clear bags and does not allow balloons inside. Please leave any balloons or non-clear bags at home or in your car.
Plan to stay
Out of respect for all graduates and their guests, it is the expectation that graduates return to their seats after crossing the stage and remain seated until the ceremony is complete.
