The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) is a college program offered at more than 1,700 colleges and universities across the United States that prepares young adults to become U.S. military officers.
UW Tacoma participates in Army ROTC in partnership with Pacific Lutheran University. High School Seniors may apply for the Army ROTC four-year Scholarship that covers 100% tuition and fees, book allowance, and a monthly stipend. There is a Green to Gold Program for Active Duty Soldiers, and a Simultaneous Membership Program for Army National Guard and Army Reserve (both programs have different options). Cadets pay a cross-enrollment fee to take Military Science Courses at Pacific Lutheran University and will receive official transcripts with Military Science Credits that transfer to UW Tacoma.
