Pre-major reinstatement to UW Tacoma requires approval of the Pre-Major Reinstatement Committee. Students who have been dropped from UW Tacoma for low scholarship will be required to sit out one quarter unless an exception is made by the Committee. Students who are reinstated continue to be on academic probation.
To be considered for reinstatement, a Petition for Reinstatement must be completed and submitted to your academic advisor three weeks prior to the start of the quarter. Reinstatement decisions must be finalized no later than one week prior to the start of the requested quarter of reinstatement. Students should generally expect to receive a response from the Pre-Major Reinstatement Committee within one week of submitting their completed petition.
Students who have not attended classes at UW Tacoma for two or more quarters will need to complete the Returning Student Re-enrollment process and students that have been dropped for low scholarship will also need to complete the additional Reinstatement Petition process.
