Students who earned or will earn a degree between Autumn 2025 through Summer 2026 are eligible to participate in this year's Commencement. Bachelor's CandidatesUndergraduate students must apply for graduation with their Academic Advisor. Once their application has been completed and received by the Registrar’s Office, undergraduate students are then eligible to complete the Commencement registration form. Graduation Application Due Dates:
Master’s CandidatesGraduate students are eligible to apply for graduation in the quarter they are planning to graduate. For more information and to apply please visit the UW Graduate School webpage. Graduate students must contact their graduate program advisor by April 17, 2026 to have their name listed in the Commencement program. All graduate students must complete the Commencement registration form so that you can order apparel even if only participating in your department's hooding ceremony. Master and doctoral candidates who have not yet filed their degree/exam requests should contact their graduate program advisor by April 17, 2026 All eligible students must apply by the deadlines above if they would like to have their name included in the Commencement Program. |

Name is Listed in the Commencement Program |
|
The University of Washington Tacoma publishes a program to accompany the Commencement ceremony each spring. The program lists the names, degrees and honors recognition of graduates for the academic year. The program will list the names of graduates from Autumn 2025 through Summer 2026. Note: Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 undergraduate candidates must have their Application to Graduate submitted by April 17, 2026. Graduate students must contact their graduate advisor by April 17, 2026 in order to have their names listed. Don't want your name included in the Commencement program? You can submit a request to remove your name via our Commencement Listing & Name Form by May 8, 2026. Students will also receive information via their UW.edu email with instructions about using the web form to either
Your official name on file with the University will be used in the program, unless you request not to be listed or provide a “Commencement Program Name” using the web form sent to you in the email. |

Purchase Your Cap & Gown |
|
Students are required to wear a proper UW Tacoma regalia to participate in the ceremony. There are two options to purchase your regalia. Option 1: Purchase your regalia online
Option 2: Purchase your regalia in-person

Register For Commencement |
|
Registration for the commencement ceremony is required for all eligible graduating students. The registration process for the ceremony is separate applying to graduate. Registration is open from April 22, 2026 through May 16, 2026
