Commencement Checklist

	Make Sure you are Eligible
Students who earned or will earn a degree between Autumn 2025 through Summer 2026 are eligible to participate in this year's Commencement. Bachelor's Candidates Undergraduate students must apply for graduation with their Academic Advisor. Once their application has been completed and received by the Registrar’s Office, undergraduate students are then eligible to complete the Commencement registration form. Graduation Application Due Dates: Autumn 2025 \| October 10, 2025 Winter 2026 \| January 23, 2026 Spring & Summer 2026 \| April 17, 2026 Master’s Candidates Graduate students are eligible to apply for graduation in the quarter they are planning to graduate. For more information and to apply please visit the UW Graduate School webpage. Graduate students must contact their graduate program advisor by April 17, 2026 to have their name listed in the Commencement program. All graduate students must complete the Commencement registration form so that you can order apparel even if only participating in your department's hooding ceremony. Master and doctoral candidates who have not yet filed their degree/exam requests should contact their graduate program advisor by April 17, 2026 All eligible students must apply by the deadlines above if they would like to have their name included in the Commencement Program.

Do you have questions about Commencement you can't find in our website? We will be holding a few information sessions to get all your questions answered! No need to attend them all; we'll present the same information at each session. Check out the dates and time here.
	Name is Listed in the Commencement Program
The 2026 Commencement Program is now available for viewing. Please use this opportunity to locate your name, make sure you are accurately listed under your major(s) and your name appears as you would like. If you have a correction for the program please complete the Commencement Listing & Name Update Form . You are encourage to complete the form before June 10, 2026 2026 Commencement Ceremony Program
	Purchase Your Cap & Gown
Students are required to wear a proper UW Tacoma regalia to participate in the ceremony. There are two options to purchase your regalia. Purchase your regalia in-person Available from May 01, 2026 through June 11, 2026 Visit the UW Tacoma Bookstore during their hours of operation In-person purchase ONLY The deadline to purchase regalia online was May 07, 2026. Online purchase and ship to home option is no longer available.
	Commencement Late Registration
Priority registration for the 2026 commencement ceremony ended on May 16, 2026. If you missed the deadline, you may still complete the Commencement Late Registration Form provided below. Late registration will be available until June 11, 2026. Register Today! Registration for the commencement ceremony is required for all eligible graduating students. The registration process for the ceremony is separate from applying to graduate.
	Attend the Grad Fair!
Our UW Tacoma Grad Fair will be held on: Date: Wednesday, June 3, 2026 William Philip Hall (WPH) time: 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Enjoy the festivities happening around campus during our Grad Fair. Get you pictures taken by our official photographer, Pro Pics. Go to Grad Experience Page
