A new partnership with Highline College is attracting early interest. Graduates of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Elementary Education (EE) degrees can now apply to the Master of Education for Practicing Educators (MEd) program at UW Tacoma.
Dr. Christopher Knaus was honored by the National Association for Multicultural Education at their national conference with the 2025 Carl A. Grant Research Award. The award recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to advancing our knowledge of multicultural education through research.
Dr. Endo is the recipient of two awards, a first in the association’s history. She accepted the Eileen Tosney Award for Career Service in Higher Education and the Drs. John and Christine Cavanaugh Award for Leadership in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the AAUA 2025 annual meeting in October.
This year’s Distinguished Alumni Award recipient, Dr. Amy Maharaj Madeo, has built a career in education with inclusive excellence.
A mix of students studying biomedical sciences, accounting, social work and computer science make up this year’s UW Tacoma contribution to the Husky 100.
