The University of Washington Tacoma is home to a thriving community of recognized student clubs, which we refer to as Registered Student Organizations, or RSOs. While the University provides benefits to registered clubs, such as operations funding and university email, RSOs are entirely student-organized and reflect the diverse interests of the student body. Students can join an RSO to make friends, develop knowledge about potential career paths, or promote ideas to the school community. If students can become officers of their RSOs--or create an entirely new club--they will gain valuable experience in self-directed organization and planning.

The Center for Student Involvement requires Registered Student Organizations to open their activities and membership to all students regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status, including as a Disabled Veteran or Vietnam-era veteran.
