Congratulations on your decision to attend UW Tacoma! You made a great choice!

International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) collaborates with New Student and Family Programs and other offices on campus to provide a comprehensive orientation to all international students. Please read below for details on the requirements for your situation.
For Undergraduate (Bachelor's) Students
If you are a new undergraduate (Bachelor's degree) student who is transferring from another college/university or attending college for the first time, please complete all of the following orientation requirements:
1. Register for and complete the required online steps for freshman students or transfer students, which is provided by New Student and Family Programs.
Note*: You won’t be able to register for an orientation session until you pay your New Student Enrollment and Orientation Fee (NSEOF). If interested, you can learn about NSEOF from here.
2. You will receive an email asking you to complete the New International Student Information Session (request form) in the ISSS Portal. You must complete this request form, including the three mandatory quizzes embedded in the form preferably before New International Student Orientation. The final deadline for this request form will be the third Friday of the quarter. The following topics will be covered in this mandatory Information Session:

3. Attend New International Student Orientation on Friday, January 6th 2023 (Winter start students). If you are a new international student you will receive an email with more information. The following topics will be covered:

For Graduate (Master's) Students
If you are a new graduate (Master's degree) student starting in Winter 2023, please:

Register and attend your departmental orientation

Complete the mandatory New International Student Information Session request form in the ISSS Portal. (See info above).

Attend New International Student Orientation on Friday, January 6th, 2023 (Winter-start students). If you are a new international student you will receive an email with more information.
