There are so many different types of crafts including textile, decorative, paper and cultural! No matter the amazing past-time craft you enjoy, please use this event to showcase some of your favorites! We have built a list of crafts for inspiration; however , it would be really cool if your RSO’s craft kind of represented something about your organization. You can make great use of your RSO operations fund and the University of Washington Alumni Association RSO Support Fund to gather the materials!

Dear RSO Officers,
Be a part of Welcome Days- Winter 2022
The CSI is already getting ready for Welcome Days, kicking off in the Winter Quarter on January 3, 2022 and we’d love to showcase some fantastic RSO opportunities! We know that you’re all getting ready for finals and for a well-deserved break, but as you and your officers are thinking about future events, think about which opportunities you may want to showcase on our Welcome Days Event Calendar. In the spirit of our “You Belong Here” campaign, we have no defined dates for Welcome Days, as we know that it may take some time for people to feel that sense of welcome and their sense of belonging in the campus community.
Featuring an event or as many as you’d like (including your first meetings) on the Welcome Days Calendar can promote your organization to new members, just looking for connection. If you are interested in having your event featured on our Welcome Days website, please email cleary2@uw.edu by December 28th, 2021 by 5pm with the following event details:
- Name/Title of Opportunity
- Office/Departmental Host
- Location
- Date & Time
- Brief description of the experience (3-5 sentences!)

I hope you’re having a wonderful start to your week.
UWT_RSO_Contacts List Serv
Last week, with the week’s RSO Round-Up, you may have received an email that you were added to the UWT_RSO_Contacts Mailman List Serv. This list will serve as the primary way in which the RSO Coordinators and myself will provide you all with important RSO updates and information. Please do not unsubscribe from the list serv as you’ll miss out on some important information. If you are no longer an RSO Officer for a particular organization, please reach out to uwtclubs@uw.edu and we will remove you.
*As RSO Officers, you can email uwt_rso_contact@u.washington.edu as well, however your post to the list serv will be reviewed by the CSI and possibly, denied. This system can be used for you to spread information to other RSOs, but we all know how many emails you may receive on a daily basis from UW Tacoma. The CSI Staff will review the sent materials and diced if it is necessary to be shared to all officers via the list serv.
Join the UW Tacoma Discord
There is a rapidly-growing Student Discord for UW Tacoma students, run and moderated by a student, who would love to have at least 1 member of each RSO as a part of the group. If you are interested in being a part of this group and having the opportunity to promote your organization, contact Holly (hwetzel@uw.edu) and she’ll help you access it.
Special Message from Tahoma West- Multicultural Art Showcase
“As it grows cold, we are filled with holiday cheer and traditions old. We all celebrate differently, and we at Tahoma West, invite you to an evening of short stories, poems, crafts, and songs! We wish to spread knowledge and help kindred spirits connect during these ever changing times.”
Hello! My name is Koko Woods and I’m the fiction editor at Tahoma West. We are hoping to put on a multicultural event (hopefully during the first few days of December so as not to impede on finals) where we can all come together in a cultural hot pot. Everyone celebrates differently and it's time we embrace all our individuality. As the GROUP, I wanted to reach out to you and see if you’d not only be interested in having your members attend such an event, but have suggestions as well, we would love to hear them!
If your organization is interested in participating, reach out to Koko Woods (kokow@uw.edu)
Food Drive Update- The Competition has begun!
Don’t forget about the food drive! Find more information here (https://www.tacoma.uw.edu/involvement/rso-pantry-food-drive); the generosity of your organization could mean you walk away with 20 custom-printed crewneck sweatshirts with your RSO Logo on them. Track your participation using the leadership found on our webpage
It HAS been updated as of today with a generous contribution from UWT’s Pride Pack. They may have picked up a whopping 337 points, but there’s plenty of time for donations to be collected and points to be earned. Drop your donations off in the University Y Student Center in the Center for Student Involvement.
