The on campus CJ major admits students for Autumn and Winter quarters.
The online CJ degree completion program admits students for Autumn quarter.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE (CAMPUS) MAJOR APPLICATION

The Criminal Justice (campus) major offers an annual autumn and winter start. The priority application deadlines for each quarter are:

  • Autumn: March 15
  • Winter: October 15

Applicants must first be admitted to UW Tacoma  for general admission.

Please review the CJ major admission requirements  at tacoma.uw.edu/cj/admission  (end of page) prior to submitting this application. Applicants must complete all admission requirements for UW Tacoma and the Criminal Justice major prior to the start of classes.


Admissions Review Timeline

Applicants are encouraged to meet the annual priority application deadline for the quarter they hope to begin the CJ program. CJ applications completed by the priority deadline are assured a review. All applicants will be notified of admission decisions by email after the priority date and on a rolling basis until the quarter of admission begins.


Application Instructions

Applicants are not able to save an in-progress application and are encouraged to prepare their application materials prior to starting this webform application. Applicants should carefully follow the instructions provided and be as thorough as possible within the set guidelines.

Identify the most recent college/university with which you completed coursework. (e.g. Pierce College, UW Tacoma, etc.)
Section B: Program Prerequisites
Enter the term (quarter and year) an English composition course was completed/will be completed with a grade of 2.0/C or better. (i.e. "Spring 2022")
Please indicate the number of credits you currently have completed.
Please indicate the number of credits you plan to complete before the start of your first quarter. Applicants must have a minimum of 60 college-level credits earned prior to starting the CJ campus major and 90 college-level credits earned prior to starting the CJ online major.
Have you previously taken CJ (TCRIM) courses at UW Tacoma?
Please upload your unofficial transcripts and your current enrollment schedule for verification of credits and completion of English Composition. You will still need to send in an official transcript to UW Tacoma Office of Admissions.
