Congratulations on your admission to UW Tacoma! We are excited for you to take the next steps in your UW Tacoma journey. First and foremost, you'll need to confirm your intent to enroll for the quarter you applied for by submitting an Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD).
Your admission offer is only for the quarter you applied for, and will not automatically transfer to a future quarter. If you cannot attend UW Tacoma for the quarter for which you have been offered admission, please connect with an admissions counselor to discuss your options. It is possible to defer your offer to a future quarter under certain circumstances.
Accept Offer
To accept your offer of admission to the University of Washington Tacoma for the quarter for which you have been admitted, a non-refundable Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD) is required. This deposit will be used to confirm your intention to enroll at UW Tacoma and for programs benefiting a successful transition for new students.
You must submit your Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD) first before you will be able to attend New Student Orientation Programs, connect with an academic advisor or register for classes.

Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD) Deferral
Not able to pay the ECD right now but still want to confirm? Will you be receiving any financial aid?
The ECD may be deferred to your first tuition bill if you have applied for financial aid or will be receiving Post 9/11 veterans’ benefits and cannot afford to pay the deposit at this time. Please complete the Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD) Deferral Form to defer the deposit, confirm your offer of admission and get started. Please note: You will be required to sign into your applicant status portal to complete the form. Additionally, completion of this form confirms your intent to enroll and you will be responsible for paying the deposit as part of your first tuition bill, whether you end up enrolling or not.
If you are unable to confirm and pay your enrollment online, you may do so in-person on campus. Please note that the Cashier's Office is open by appointment only. Payments can also be deposited in the drop box located across from Dougan Room 176. Receipts will be emailed for all drop box payments.
Defer Offer to a Future Quarter
Your offer of admission is only valid for the quarter you applied for. If extraneous circumstances prohibit you from being able to enroll and attend for the quarter you applied for, it is possible to request to defer your offer of admission to a future quarter.
Please note: This is a different request from deferring your Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD). For more information on that process, read "ECD Deferral" section on this page.
Decline Offer
To decline your offer of admission to the University of Washington Tacoma, you may submit the Decline Offer Form.
